The fruits of your imagination are ripening...

The fruits of the land are ripening...get rooted with the earth.

Puddle Poetry Project's major objective is an open forum for creating collaborative poetry that decolonizes and re-indigenizes us, seperately and collectively. Here, with Seed to Poem, community shares the creation process in the forms of developing stories and poems in supportive and appreciative settings about growth and change in plants, and the mataphors for human life. Meeting online, we will contemplate seed, then seedling, plant, flower and fruit, the harvest, and the return back to seed. We will explore what these seasons do to reflect our own rhythms and patterns and create verses to share our meditations on these thoughts as we gather together.

Event

We gather together to consider what the seasons tell us about our connections to nature, by contemplating seeds, seedlings, mature plants and trees through poetry and our five senses plus any extras you happen to be blessed with!

What to expect

One 1.5 hour online group writing session (Zoom) offered every 3-4 months for 1 year-round seasonal cycle with writing prompts surrounding the seeds in the crown of your metaphorical connection to nature, the growth that signals change and shift of seasons, and the natural cycles of everything. We write to become more aware and active in our responsibility to give back to the Earth.
